Tamale, May 26, GNA – Mr Hussein Yushow, Chief Executive Officer of Fuzak Construction Company, has donated 100 multipurpose conference chairs worth GH¢ 40,000 to the Northern Regional Police Command of the Ghana Police Service.
The philanthropist said the donation was meant to support the Police Service to conveniently hold meetings, seminars, and training sessions for its personnel to enable them to get abreast with the changing trends in policing in the region.
He said his outfit had also distributed quantities of Veronica Buckets, gallons of liquid soap, alcohol-based hand sanitisers and detergents to several communities in the Tamale Metropolis, the Kumbungu district, and the Yendi Municipal to support them in the response against the COVID-19 disease.
Mr Yushow pledged his company’s willingness to support the Service with other logistics to ensure that they discharged their role in keeping peace and security in the region.
The Northern Regional Police Commander, COP. Mr Timothy Yoosa Bonga, who received the chairs on behalf of the Service, expressed gratitude to the management and staff of Fuzak Construction Company for the gesture.
He noted that the company had a long-standing relationship with the service in the region, and the items would go a long way to support the service in its quest to set up the first conference facility to build the capacities of personnel in modern policing.
He pledged to ensure the good use of the chairs for its intended purpose.
The Regional Commander called on other individuals, institutions and philanthropic organisations to come to the aid of the Service to boost its capacity in the region.
