Rabat, 11/02/2023 (MAP) – Real Madrid won their fifth Club World Cup title by defeating Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal 5-3 in the final at Morocco’s Prince Moulay Abdellah multi-purpose stadium in Rabat on Saturday.
Vinícius Jr. opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 13th minute before Federico Valverde doubled the lead in the 18th minute. Moussa Marega responded for Al Hilal to reduce the deficit in the 26th minute.
Karim Benzema doubled Real Madrid’s lead (54′) before Federico Valverde doubled his tally (58′).
Luciano Vietto tried to bring his team back into the game with a goal in the 63rd minute, while Vinicius Junior continued the scoring for Los Merengues (69′).
Al Hilal’s Luciano Vietto scored twice in the second half (79′).
