Police Ladies records three straight wins in NCWSC

Accra, Match 17, GNA- Three goals from Faiza Ibrahim and Juanita Aguadze ensured Police Ladies picked three points in match day three of the ongoing Normalization Committee Women’s Special Competition (NCWSC) played at the Accra Technical Training Centre on Sunday.

The visitors, Police Ladies, came from behind to beat Samaria Ladies 3-1 in a keenly contested match. The win means Police Ladies are still at the apex of the log, with nine points after three matches.

In a pressing moment of the match, Abankwa Juliet scored a beautiful free kick in the 30th minute, to put her side ahead but their joy was shot lived, when the visitors came from recess to win the match in style.

After inflicting a 1-0 scoreline in the first half of the match, Police Ladies put up a spirited performance to draw level through substitute Faiza Ibrahim in the 76th minute through a penalty kick.

Ibrahim, in the dying minutes of the match, doubled the lead with her second goal after connecting a well taken free kick from Grace Animah in the 89th minute to beat the homers goalie, Aiyishetu Simpson.

Aguadze Juanita added her name on the scoresheet with a dazzling goal in the 95 minute to wrap up victory for her side.

The win puts Police Ladies on top with nine points in Group D followed by Halifax Ladies with six points, Samaria Ladies with three points and Immigration at the bottom with no points after three games.
