AFCON2019: Angola re-encounters Mali and Mauritania in group E

Luanda, 13th April (ANGOP) – The Palancas Negras (Sable Antelopes), Angola’s National Football Team, are in group E of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON2019), scheduled to happen from 21 June to 12 July this year, in Egypt.

With this result of the draw held last Friday, in Cairo, the Angolan squad will meet again Mali and Mauritania, for they are also in group E. The fourth team is Tunisia, who happens to be the seed of the group.

The Palancas Negras met Mali in the 2010 AFCON held in Angola, in a thrilling game that finished in a 4-4 draw, while Mauritania clashed with Angola during the qualification stage (group I) for AFCON2019, with the latter overcoming the adversary with a 4-1 win, after losing 0-1in the first-leg encounter played in Mauritania.
