Bulls crowned champions in Rugby League Championship

Accra, July 9, GNA – The Bulls Rugby Club toppled their counterparts Skolars on the last day to be crowned champions of the 2019 Rugby League Federation Championship.
The climax of the 2019 Rugby League saw a lot of passion and commitment on the match day from participating teams at the University of Ghana Rugby Field.
The league table, which had the Bulls sitting on top and the Skolars in a daunting pursuit of the title, took the match day to settle scores.
The Bulls led by Collins Ofosu were unstoppable and managed another narrow but sweet victory over Skolars to be crowned Champions.
The Pirates and Panthers fighting for the third place displayed equally great talents, amused spectators and guests with a good show of sportsmanship.
Nevertheless, the Panthers carried the day in a 20 to 6 score against Pirates.

The President of the Federation, Mr. Farouk Nana Kwasi Prempeh and other executives presented medals to the winners and runners up and a trophy to the Bulls.
He said in his closing remarks that, the Federation was motivated by the talents the league bears, hence the decision of the executive body to support any course that would uplift the sport in Ghana.
Jafaru Mustapha, the Team Manager of the National Team, in an interview made mention of the Middle East Africa Championship which the National Team would be participating in Abuja coming October.
‘ In October, we will be taking a 20 man squad to represent Ghana in the Middle East Africa Championship in Abuja. The talents displayed over the past weeks are a proof we have what it takes to make Ghana proud », he added.
