Civil Protection: Cabo Verde may have a center of excellence for education and training

Praia, Nov 13 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde could have a center of excellence for emergency prevention and response training that will also serve the countries of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) region.

These are, among other recommendations made in Praia by the World Bank, during the World Bank workshop on the results of the diagnosis of the emergency prevention and response system in Cabo Verde, promoted by the Civil Protection and Fire Service (SNPCB) and the World Bank Group.

At the time, the president of the National Civil Protection and Fire Service (SNPCB), Reinaldo Rodrigues, did not indicate a date for the implementation of the center, but assured that the idea was very well received by the country, as it will promote and enable the national service acquires maturity in terms of management and response and emergency.
