90 students awarded MBA Degrees by Accra Business School

Accra, Nov. 5, GNA – Accra Business School (ABS), a prestigious Christian Business School, over the weekend awarded Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees to 90 students at its sixth congregation ceremony held at the Accra Metropolitan City Hall in Accra.
The congregation under the theme: ‘MBA education and job creation’ saw various students honoured for excelling in the 12-month programme.
Bishop Gideon Titi-Ofei, President of ABS, commended the graduates for going through rigorous graduation requirement as the institution remained focused on providing learning opportunities to working executives.
« This year we have enrolled over 272 new students who were admitted to our re-modelled 12-month MBA awarded by Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), »he said.
He added that, the institution has simplified MBA education without breaking the requirement of National Accreditation Board and also provided student with flexible payment terms.
He announced that, ABS for the first time in the history of MBA education, has successfully introduced MBA top specialization, which was awarded by the International School of Management in Paris, as student upon completion could travel to France for a 10-day workshop in their respective areas of specialization.
Professor Kwame Omane-Antwi, Chairman for the Court of Governors of ABS, noted that, the theme for this year’s congregation was in line with the School’s mission of getting an MBA designed for working professionals to enable them become leaders and thrive on a global stage.
 »My dear graduates, the day you enrolled on the MBA programme, you automatically became a leader and upon completion of the programme you are or have become a professional manager and a leader, » he said.
He highlighted how the socio-economic development agenda of the country can be achieved if MBA professionals were trained to take charge of the economy as it well as create wealth for the country.
Mrs. Innocientia Ami Dogbe who was crowned the overall best student for this year’s batch of graduates, in her speech appreciated her fellow colleagues for being part of her success story as she urged them to go out and change the world.
