Praia, Oct 14 (Inforpress) – The first lady on Wednesday called the country an “example of pride” and the impact of first ladies on the development of future generations and promises to mobilize partners, through diplomatic influence, in the search for resources for social projects.
Débora Katisa Carvalho expressed this concern to the press during the visit of the First African Ladies who are in the country to the Infancia Feliz Foundation, created by the former first lady Adélcia Pires, in the Calabaceira neighborhood, where she praised the quality of the school integrated in this project in the last 20 years.
Carvalho said that with this visit she also had the intention to give more visibility to the work developed by the Infancia Feliz Foundation, in order to appeal and raise awareness among partners to continue betting on this project.
“We will continue to have in civil society, unfortunately, young people who, for various reasons, typically girls who have had teenage pregnancy, or boys who have had risky behaviors, then have to be recovered. We can do this mobilization of partners, this diplomatic influence and also look for those who are already working for 20 years for Cabo Verde”, she explained.
