Ethiopia: HM the King’s Concern for Holy Quran, African Ulema Highly Praised in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, 27/02/2023 (MAP) – The concern of HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, for the Holy Quran and the African Ulema has been highly praised by religious personalities and political and civil society actors in Ethiopia, at the end of the 4th edition of the national contest of memorization, recitation and psalmody of the Holy Quran, held in Addis Ababa by the section of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema in Ethiopia.

The Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema illustrates the noble actions and the concern of HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, may God assist Him, for the African Ulema and the interest that the Sovereign grants to the memorization, recitation and psalmody of the Holy Quran, said the deputy of the Ethiopian Federal Parliament, Mohamed Al-Arusi.

The actions of the Sovereign which enshrine tolerance and coexistence, aim to preserve Islam as a holy religion of the middle ground advocated by His Majesty the King, noted the Ethiopian MP and analyst in a statement to MAP.

For his part, president of the Association Zayed Ibn Tabith for the memorization of the Holy Quran, Noureddine Kacim, praised the efforts made by the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema under the chairmanship of His Majesty the King, noting that the contest was a great success thanks in particular to a strong competition between the participants.

In a statement to MAP, Kacim expressed his gratitude to HM King Mohammed VI for his noble initiatives and the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema for the prizes awarded to participants and his association, as well as for the tribute that was paid to him, praying for further peace and prosperity for the Moroccan people.
