Accra, July 3, GNA-College of Beauty, Arts and Entrepreneurship (CBAE) has signed a partnership with the London School of Business and Technology (LSBT) to provide modernised and industry-oriented international education to Ghanaians.
The partnership seeks to open up avenues for Ghanaian students to access business development and Information Communication and Technology education from the United Kingdom.
Ms Rebecca Donkor, President, CBAE, said the partnership would provide Ghanaians the platform to access education aimed at developing their competencies and skills in the world of work.
She said it had become necessary that educational institutions streamlined their curriculum in accordance with career-specific skills and competences.
She said they were looking for opportunities to enrich learner’s experience and broaden their programme portfolio, adding that, partnering with LSBT was a leap toward realising that dream.
Ms Donkor said their institution was the representative of LSBT in Africa and was responsible for recruiting students and providing student support services.
“This partnership is to open up opportunities for Ghana and the West African sub-region to access top notch UK and European education at their convenience and at affordable cost,” she added.
Mr Philip Debrah, Director of LSBT Africa Hub, said they were offering pre-graduate, undergraduate, post-graduate and professional career-specific courses for prospective applicants.
He said the courses ranged from Computing, Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, Fashion Design, Hospitality Management, among others.
He said ICT had become a driving force for international education, adding that, stakeholders in education must find innovative ways to engage students through online platforms.
Applicants for the programme would be paying £1,500 for the first and second years each for the first two years online education programme, before moving to the UK for further ‘physical studies’ in their subsequent years with its attendant fees.
