Cape Coast, April 10, GNA – The Grace Hill School of Technology (GHIST) in Cape Coast has joined Coastal Television’s “Hope kitchen” project aimed at providing one hot meal a day for the response team of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (CCTH).
For their part, the GHIST would provide meat pie and Eku juice from the Ekumfi Fruit Factory as snacks while Coastal TV provided the lunch for the period of April to motivate the front line health workers while they dedicated themselves in fighting the pandemic.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Mrs Gifty Saah, the Administrator of GHIST, said the School was inspired by the sacrifices of the health workers in such difficult moment, hence their decision for the gesture.
She commended the health workers for their commitment, dedication and sacrifices exhibited in this difficult period and hoped that the gesture would go a long way to help the frontliners to give of their best to save lives.
Mr Selete Nyomi, Executive Director of Coastal TV, said the gesture to support the “Hope Kitchen” project to feed frontline health workers was very apt.
He encouraged other individuals and cooperate institutions to offer support to the health workers to give them the reason to continue working hard to save lives.
Mrs Sophia Blankson, Director of Nursing Services at CCTH, thanked the two institutions for the support and described their gesture as timely.
