Johannesburg, 15/05/2023 (MAP) – The Pan-African Parliament (PAP) opened the second ordinary session of its sixth parliament, Monday in its headquarters in Midrand, a suburb of Johannesburg, in the presence of several delegations, including that of Morocco.
The opening session was chaired by Azali Assoumani, president of the Union of Comoros and current chairman of the African Union (AU), in the presence of PAP chairman, Chief Fortune Charumbira, speaker of the Moroccan House of Advisors, Enaam Mayara, South African minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Naledi Pandor and AU commissioner for Agriculture, Josefa Sacko.
This parliamentary forum, which runs from May 15 to June 2, will mainly discuss ways to accelerate the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
