Ayawaso North Assembly donates to Maamobi Hospital

Accra, April 30, GNA – The Ayawaso North Municipal Assembly has donated medical equipment and consumables to the Maamobi General Hospital to support the operations of the facility.
The items included hand gloves, hand sanitizers, thermometers’ and FF particulate respirator.
Mr. Augustine Ofori Gyebi, the Presiding Member, who presented the items said the gesture was to help give protection to medical workers battling the novel coronavirus pandemic.
He commended the staff and management of the hospital for their dedication to duty and putting their lives on the line to save others.
He said he was confident that they would be motivated by the donation to continue the good job they had been doing.
Dr. Anfu Okai, the Health Supervisor, expressed gratitude to the Assembly for the support, and gave the assurance that the items would be judiciously used for its intended purpose.
She applauded the Assembly for the recent facelift of the hospital and prayed that the strong relationship existing between the two entities would continue.
She appealed for the completion of hostel project there for house officers.
Mrs Sophia Quist, the Municipal Health Director assured the management of the hospital of the Assembly’s continued assistance to enable it to provide quality health services to the people.
