Sal Rei, Apr 30 (Inforpress) – The municipal, health and police authorities in the Boa Vista Island will reinforce, from today, the control of compliance with the sanitary recommendations for prevention of COVID-19 and announced “drastic measures” for cases of non-compliance.
This information was released by the communication councilwoman from the City Hall of Boa Vista, Nádia Santos, who spoke on the decisions made in an emergency meeting took place this Thursday, 29th, between the City Hall and other authorities in the island.
At the meeting it was decided to implement an “effective, assertive and more precise” action plan to monitor compliance with COVID-19 prevention measures and the imposition of immediate penalties, fines and heavy fines.
According to the councilwoman this came following an exponential increase in cases of COVID-19, underlining “the record of an average of 30 positive cases per day”, a number considering “very high” for an island like Boa Vista.
