Praia, Mar 19 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verdean Weightlifting Federation (FCH) is preparing to hold in April 10 and 11, in City of Praia, the national powerlifting championship (weightlifting), in the Vavá Duarte sports pavilion.
The FCH president, Bino Santos, said today in statements to Inforpress that the national championship will be held depending on the results come out from the regional championships.
“It is an open championship of all body categories, however we have ten categories in both men’s and women’s and will probably have about 30 to 40 participants,” he explained.
According to the FCH president, the event will be behind closed doors, as mandated by the regulation, because of the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, but assured the federation will do everything to be able to make online transmission. Bino Santos predicted that, in addition to this event, the municipalities activities will be framed in another competition called “strong men”.
