Praia, Jun 14 (Inforpress) – The women’s senior handball team of Cabo Verde will back to competition this Tuesday in Cameroon, this time for the President’s Cup, competition reserved for teams that failed to access the quarter-finals of the 24th African Cup of Nations.
The Cabo Verdean team waits for the winner of Monday’s match between Madagascar and Kenya to meet this Tuesday’s opponent, this secondary competition in which the Cabo Verdean Handball Federation has already set to Inforpress the goal of winning the next two games to win the President’s Cup.
It is known, however, that the two games made by the Cabo Verdean tam in the group stage and which resulted in defeats against Angola and Congo Brazzaville left physical marks in the calls of the coach Ana Seabra, who accused the physical effort after a large majority of the players had gone more than a year without competing.
In the quarter-finals Angola play against DR Congo, Tunisia against Equatorial Guinea, Congo Brazaville against its counterpart Senegal, while Cameroon’s host team against Nigeria.
