Praia, Oct 27(Inforpress) – The Behavioural Supervision Office of the Bank of Cabo Verde (BCV) coordinator, Helton Carvalho, considered that with “some effort”, depending on the case, it is possible to save in the current situation in the country.
Helton Carvalho spoke on the sidelines of the training and awareness-raising activities scheduled for the “Savings Week”, which have been going on since Monday, 26th, and will run until the end of this month, as part of the celebrations of World Savings Day, an annual celebration on October 31.
The idea, according to the coordinator, is that regardless of the current situation, in reference to the COVID-19 pandemic, people begin to “reflect more” on how they should better manage their finances, their money.
Promotion, according to the same source, is “proactive saving”, that is, people react to unfavorable contexts and start saving, “but it is saving independently of this, on their own initiative, to cultivate precautionary saving habits”, stated the responsible, stressing that this is the way to avoid financial constraints as a result of less appropriate management of their finances.
