Praia, May 11 (Inforpress) – The first community masks will be placed on the market starting today, announced the chairman of Emprofac’s Board of Directors, Gil Évora.
The announcement was made this Saturday to the press, after the arrival at Nelson Mandela International Airport, in Praia, of the health flight, under the Emprofac’s responsibility with personal protective equipment and medicines, to help fight the new coronavirus.
“It is our understanding that community masks are going to be the future, because the import of surgical masks will decrease and, therefore, will increase the consumption of homemade masks”, he said.
Gil Évora said that Emprofac will control the quality of the community masks requirements and sell the products to be purchased from the artisans.
“Emprofac will, through contracts, acquire all community masks made by artisans, as long as they comply with all the quality control rules”, explained Gil Évora, informing that to avoid speculation, the maximum price is 235 escudos.
