Praia, Oct 12 (Inforpress) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Olavo Correia said in the City of Praia that sustainable development requires “stability, consensus and long-term commitments”, as well as programs can drive change and accelerate progress.
For the ruler, sustainable development also requires “choice and prioritization” and also definition of accelerators and, in the case of Cabo Verde, the convergence of all islands.
“In 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, we carried out the Cabo Verde Ambition 2030 exercise, which resulted in the strategic agenda of the sustainable development of Cabo Verde to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” said Olavo Correia.
He added that the Government will continue to deepen dialogue with national actors and partners, as well as “promoting knowledge and ongoing debate on challenges, solutions, options and priorities”.
