Espargos, Jun 23 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, and the President of Angola, João Lourenço met Monday in Sal, during a stopover of the Angolan statesman, on his way to New York, and exchanged views on the preparation of the CPLP summit.
Speaking to reporters at the end of the meeting took place in the late afternoon at one of the hotels in the city of Santa Maria, Ulisses Correia e Silva said the subject of conversation was “essentially” about the preparation of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries (CPLP) summit, scheduled for mid-July next, during which Angola will assume the presidency.
“We wish many successes to the Angolan presidency and surely will be. Then we talk about the current situation we all live in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, having the same conviction that it is a fight to win, in which we will all be engaged”, he said.
In addition to these matters, Ulisses Correia e Silva said they also talked a little about the cooperation between the two countries, which, as he stressed, has a very wide field of development.
