SWAG congratulates new AFA President Charles Osei Asibey

Accra, July 21, GNA- The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has congratulated Mr Osei Asibey, for winning the Armwrestling Federation of Africa (AFA) presidential race.

The gallant sports personality, who is currently the General Secretary of SWAG has served on the board of some other federations and associations due to his expertise in promoting sports in Ghana and the world at large.

A statement signed by Mr Kwabena Yeboah, the president of SWAG and copied Ghana News Agency (GNA) said « SWAG congratulates its General Secretary, Charles Osei Asibey on successful election as the President of the Armwrestling Federation of Africa at the delegates conference in Lagos, Nigeria”.

According to SWAG, the Ghana Armwrestling President was able to attain this height due to his level of hard work and how dedicated he had been in the promotion of sports.

It said the association had no doubt Mr. Osei Asibey would exhibit his level of expertise as he takes the mantle as the AFA president.

The elected president had previously contributed to developing Armwrestling in Africa and would seek to make the sport one of the leading sporting disciplines on the continent.
