Accra, June 3, GNA – Ghana and Arsenal star Thomas Teye Partey has been honored with a Chieftancy title, “Mahefalor » in his hometown, Manya Krobo.
The « Mahefalor » which means Defender of Krobo Traditional Area was bestowed on him by Konor of Manya Krobo Traditional Area Nene Sakite II and gave the title to the Black Stars Deputy Daptain for his immense contribution to the area.
The Arsenal star is currently recovering from a thigh injury having missed out the past few matches for club and country.
The 28-year-old Arsenal midfielder played a crucial role in Ghana’s qualification for the 2022 Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) World Cup which would be Partey’s maiden appearance in his career.
