Accra, Dec. 19, GNA – The Wa Municipal Assembly has enrolled 1,087 personnel under seven models of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) to support various public sector agencies in service delivery and also help address routine graduate unemployment challenging the country.
The distribution of the total personnel recruited covers the seven models as follows: Educate Ghana 305, Civic Ghana 181, Revenue Ghana 243, Digitise Ghana 144, Heal Ghana 84, Enterprise Ghana 78, and Feed Ghana 52.
The Wa Municipal Assembly NABCO Coordinator, Mr Mohammed Nuri Mahama, who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency in an interview, said the applicants were posted successfully and had since started work in their assigned departments.
He said about 700 of the personnel posted have received their November allowance and that about 300 who did not get their allowance were due to wrong provision of e-switch numbers including other mistakes identified in the registration process.
He said due diligence had to be done because those who did not get their allowance had details on their e-switch cards varying from details on the NABCO registration system.
He assured trainees who have not received their allowance that they should keep calm as they were working around the clock to ensure everybody was paid, saying: « NABCO is also trying to clear its payroll by reconciling with agencies that have NABCO trainees on their payroll ».
Mr Mahama added that personnel seeking to work under Revenue Ghana and Enterprise Ghana models have not been posted, but have received messages from NABCO head office confirming their postings.
Trainees of the national corp were encouraged to take their schedules seriously and prove their capabilities to their supervisors for possible recommendation for permanent job openings in the future.
