Handball: New women’s handball coach wants Cape Verde to make history at CAN

Praia, May 13 (Inforpress) – The new Cabo Verdean coach of women’s handball, Ana Seabra, promises to bring ambition and share the vast experience to revive the national team and the whole process, so that Cabo Verde faces the CAN at its maximum strength.
In an interview with Inforpress from Portugal on Tuesday, Ana Seabra said she intends to promote among the Creole athletes the importance of Cabo Verde betting on a project for the development of the sport in women, so that the country can participate at the African Cup of Nations (CAN) with all the enthusiasm and motivation.
“Although we know that it is a championship of difficulties, strong, I hope to take work, discipline, demand, and, above all, the passion for the sport and the athletes feel this and my willingness to help them”, stated the new national coach, who ensured to have contacts with the African championship through Angola, where he has been playing.
With 215 participation with the Portugal’s national teams, 176 of them for the A team, Ana Seabra, who was part of the golden generation achieved the unprecedented qualification for the 2008 European Championship, expressed to Inforpress to be aware of CAN, stressing that in this showcase align athletes from countries that stand out as Congo, France and Angola.
