Luanda – After a draw and defeat in the 12th and 13th rounds, 1º de Agosto beat on Thursday Santa Rita de Cássia do Uíge, 1-0, in the posponed 3rd round encounter of the first division National Football Championship (Girabola2022/23), played at the 22 de Junho stadium, in Luanda.
The match was characterised by a relative balance, the only goal of the match was scored by Dago, in the 36th minute, to the delight of the hosts. The match did not take place on the scheduled date due to the 1º de Agosto involvement in the African Confederation Cup (CAF).
With this result, the vice champions 1º de Agosto go up to the fourth place, with 26 points, while Santa Rita remain in the sixth position with 18 points, in the competition led by Petro de Luanda, with 37 points.
