AFCON 2019: Atsu to undergo scan after injury

Ismailia, Egypt, June 30, GNA -Black Stars and Newcastle winger Christian Atsu will undergo a scan in Cairo, to ascertain the extent of injury sustained in the game against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon on Saturday, June 29.

Atsu, was taken off just 30 minutes into the second Group F game after sustaining an injury that looks like a muscle tear.

Reports and check from the Stars camp by GNA Sports indicates that, the winger would undergo a thorough check and scan to see his availability for the all-important Group F game against Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday, July 2, at Suez Stadium.

Atsu is the second player to have suffered a serious injury in camp after Thomas Agyapong was ruled out after the first game.
