Accra, Jan. 31, GNA – Ashantigold SC dropped points at home against regional rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Sunday.

The two sides locked horns in the matchday 11 of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) with the hope of picking the three maximum points at stake to enhance their respective positions on the league table but failed.

The Miners failed to win a game at home for the first time in five matches since they drew 2-2 in the opening fixture of the season with league leaders Karela United.

Ashgold dominated the first half but failed to break the deadlock, leaving the scores at goalless in the first half.

The Porcupine Warriors upped their game and were the better side in the second half of the match, with Brasilian import Fabio Gama failing to utilize some scoring opportunities.

Defender Kwadwo Amoako was adjudged the Most Valuable Player (MVP) after the match.
