Praia, Jun 26 (Inforpress) – Banco Comercial do Atlântico (BCA) said Monday in a statement that the incident in which the deputy manager of the Palmarejo branch, in the City of Praia, is accused of misappropriated from 35 millions escudos represents an “isolated case”.
In the statement to which Inforpress had access, the BCA begins by saying that it is a situation of “breach of trust”, since the position of deputy manager is a position of trust and high responsibility within the organization.
The bank also realizes that the situation does not jeopardize the security of the values of its clients placed in the custody of that bank.
“The incident was an isolated case”, says BCA, adding that the case was the subject of action by the bank, “by taking immediate measures to minimize the possibility of similar situations of breach of trust and communication to the competent judicial authorities”.
