British Security Advisor Visits LDEA To Strengthen Collaboration In Fight Against Drug

MONROVIA, Dec. 12 (LINA) – The British Regional Security Advisor Thomas Dowie has paid a courtesy visit to the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) marking a pivotal step in fostering international collaboration in the fight against drug trafficking and bolstering Liberia’s security infrastructure.

According to a statement from the LDEA dated December 11, 2024, LDEA Director General Anthony K. Souh had a productive discussion with Security Advisor Dowie.

The statement indicated that the dialogue was centered on sourcing critical support for the LDEA and establishing robust, transformational security networks aimed at countering the rising threat of drug trafficking in the region.

The release noted that the LDEA Boss said, the partnership between the LDEA and the British government is expected to yield significant advancements in Liberia’s capacity to address drug-related crimes while contributing to broader regional security objectives.
