Abura Dunkwa (c/r) Sept.13, GNA- Nana Kwaa Amissah II, the Omankrado of Abura Tetsi has appealed to Government and the Ministry of Education to consider building a school in their community.

In an interview with GNA, he said a vast plot of land had been earmarked for the construction of the school project.

Nana Amissah is, therefore, also pleading with NGOs and corporate institutions to go to their aid.

The move by the Omankrado and his people is geared towards getting education for all pupils of school-going age who have to trek a long distance to access education.

He noted that the unavailability of public schools and the high level of poverty in the community made it difficult for the majority of them to patronize private schools in a nearby community.

The Chief said the expenses involved in getting tuition for their children were costly, thereby compelling many to stop their wards from going to school.

« The Free Compulsory Universal Education (FCUBE) is designed to achieve free and compulsory basic education for all children of school-going age, he stressed, adding the community badly needed a public school to achieve that goal.

Nana also appealed for a Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound to be built for them to easily access healthcare.
