Winneba (C/R), July 12, GNA-The Efutu Municipal Assembly has constructed an 11-seater disability friendly biogas place of convenience to authorities of the Winneba Senior High School (SHS).
Mr John B. Ninson, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), handed over the keys to the Municipal Director of Education, Mrs Mabel Judith Micah at the school.
He stated that the Assembly found it prudent to construct a modern toilet facility to help solve the demand for additional toilets at the girl’s dormitory as a result of the growing numbers of students.
The MCE who said the project was funded with the District Development Facility (DDF) fund called on the authorities of the school to ensure its maintenance to help prolong it lifespan and assured that Assembly was ready to support them when the need arose.
Mrs. Micah, receiving the keys on behalf of the Ghana Education Service, thanked the Assembly for their continuous support towards education in the municipality and pledged that the facility would be maintained.
She later handed over the keys to Mrs Otiakenteng, Headmistress of Winneba SHS.
