London, 07/01/2023 (MAP) – Ivorian striker David Datro Fofana has signed a six-year contract with Chelsea from Norwegian club Molde, the Premier League club announced Saturday.
The 20-year-old striker, who has been playing in Norway since February 2021, scored 24 goals and provided 10 assists in 65 games for Molde before signing for the Blues.
« I’m very happy to sign for the club of my dreams, » said Fofana in the club’s statement.
He has two international caps for Ivory Coast, with his debut coming in a 4-0 friendly win against Burundi in November.
On Thursday, Chelsea announced the signing of AS Monaco central defender Benoit Badiashile on a seven-and-a-half year contract at Stamford Bridge.
