Golden Arms grab 21 medals in Day One of ongoing Africa Armwrestling Championship

Lagos (Nigeria), July 22, GNA – The National Armwrestling Team, Golden Arms, ended day one of the ongoing Africa Armwrestling Championship in Lagos, Nigeria with 20 medals.

The medals comprised of eight gold medals, 11 silver medals and two bronze medals in the left arm battle at the championship being held at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium at Surelere, Lagos.

The 11th edition of the Africa Armwrestling Championship in Nigeria had 11 countries including Ghana, Togo, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Benin, Somalia, Madagascar, Senegal, and Guinea.

Egypt currently leads the medal table after day one with 12 gold medals followed by Nigeria with 11 gold medals and then Ghana with eight gold medals.

The competition continues today with the right arm battle today.
