Abuja, 21/11/2022 (MAP) – The National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ANRE) and the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) signed on Monday in Abuja a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting cooperation in the field of electricity regulation.

This agreement is part of the friendly ties and strong African brotherhood uniting the Kingdom of Morocco and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This signing is also in line with the common vision shared between Morocco and Nigeria since the visit of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to Nigeria in 2016, and that of the Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari to Morocco in 2018.

The two countries showed their common determination to continue strengthening the fruitful bilateral cooperation relations and deepen them in all areas to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples and contribute to the development and stability of the African continent.

The MoU was signed by ANRE president Abdellatif Bardach and NERC chairman Sanusi Garba at an official ceremony held at NERC headquarters in Abuja to promote cooperation in achieving common goals, especially through the exchange of information and sharing of experiences between the two parties.
