MONROVIA, June 28 (LINA) – The Press Union of Liberia (PUL) will on Wednesday, June 29, hold a one-day Media Reform Stakeholders Conference in Monrovia.
The conference is geared toward the Media Law Reform in Liberia, the way forward and is being held under the theme: “Redefining Liberian Media Regulatory Environment.”
It is being held in collaboration with partners, including Internews Liberia and CEMESP, among others, and is expected to bring together Civil Society Organizations, government agencies, Liberia Telecommunications Authority, the Legislature, academia, security sector, diplomatic missions and the media community.
The Vice President of Liberia, Dr. Jewel Howard Taylor, will serve as keynote speaker at the conference, according to a PUL release issued Tuesday.
The Union is calling on every sector invited to the event to be on time considering it’s importance as the country is fast approaching political transition that could define the course of the nation.
