Mindelo, Nov 4 (Inforpress) – The Minister of the Sea, Paulo Veiga, assured today, in a note to the Press, he asked the Prime Minister to resign from office, believing that “the nobility of politics lies in the individual assumption of responsibilities at every moment”.

“Consistent with my political conscience, I requested my resignation with the intention of taking away all the political consequences and being able to continue to serve my country with the utmost dignity and sense of State, as Member of Parliament, at a time” very critical for the life of the country”, justified the resignation in the note.

Paulo Veiga assumes that, once “directly elected by the people” to the post of MP, he continues to have political conditions to exercise until the end of his term.

“This is an irreversible decision, which will now follow the formal procedures,” he said.
