Accra, Sept. 18, GNA – The 2020 Human Resource (HR) Focus Conference on the theme: “Work and Wellness,” is slated for October 9 to provide a collaborative platform for experience sharing and learning to enhance organisational and employee wellbeing.

In an address to launch the conference, Ms Ewurabena Neequaye, the Editor-in-Chief of HR Focus Africa, stressed on the importance of every organisation’s active contribution to their employees’ wellbeing beyond the office walls.

Dr Mrs Ellen Hagan, the Chief Executive of HR Focus, urged practitioners to get on board to work towards a thriving corporate world in Ghana, Africa, and beyond.

« There is so much going on in the world today and the weight of all these shocking events may be too heavy for some employees to bear,” she said.

“Business leaders and HR practitioners need to look beyond company targets and think strategically on how to improve the wellbeing of every organisation’s most precious asset – the people. »
The two keynote addresses will be delivered by Awo Quaison–Sackey, the Regional Vice President, Human Resources of Newmont Mining Corporation, Africa Region; and Dr Elikem Tamaklo, the Managing Director of Nyaho Medical Centre and HR Oriented CEO of the Year 2019.
