MOYS supports Hasaacas Ladies with $10,000 ahead of CAF Champions League

Accra, July 16, GNA- The Ministry of Youth and Sports, has supported Sekondi-based club, Hasaacas Ladies FC with a sum of $10,000 as the team prepares for the maiden edition of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Women’s Champions League qualifiers in Cote D’ Ivoire.
The donation was done by the Chief Director of the Ministry of Youth & Sports, Mr. Hafiz Adams to Hasaacas Ladies Football Club Head Coach, Yussif Basigi in support of the teams’ African campaign.

Coach Yussif Basigi who received the donation expressed appreciation to the Ministry for supporting the team.

Hasaacas Ladies, winners of the Women’s Premier League and Women’s FA Cup this season is Ghana’s sole representative in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

To book a ticket to the final tourney in Egypt, Hassacas Ladies would battle it out with Rivers Angels FC in Nigeria, and AS Police de Niamey in Niger in Group B of the WAFU Zone B tourney championship in Ivory Coast this month.

The team would leave the shores of Ghana later in the month to honor the competition.
