Pan-African Platform Leader Calls Morocco ‘Great Leader’ in Investment

Washington, 15/12/2022 (MAP) – Morocco is a « great leader » in Africa developing « important » relations with numerous countries, Alain Ebobissé, CEO of Africa 50, a pan-African infrastructure investment platform, underlined in Washington.

« Under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, Morocco enjoys great leadership in Africa through important relationships » with several countries, Ebobissé said in a statement to the press on the sidelines of the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit.

He also noted that the Washington summit is of particular importance for Africa, which has a strategic relationship with the United States, and recalled that Washington is making a « great effort » to increase the volume of investments in the continent.

Africa50 is an investment platform created by African heads of state and the African Development Bank (AfDB), with the aim of developing and investing in high-impact development infrastructure projects by mobilizing public and private funds, while offering attractive returns to investors.

The platform has 31 shareholders, including 28 African countries, the AfDB, Bank Al-Maghrib and the Bank of West African States (BCEAO).
