Porto Novo, Apr 21 (Inforpress) – The residents in Ribeira dos Bodes, in the countryside of the municipality of Porto Novo, Santo Antão, currently claim the transformation of the basic sanitary unit (USB) in that localition into a health station, with resident nurse.
João Ferreira, population spokesman, confirmed it is the community’s wish the USB in Ribeira dos Bodes be elevated to the category of health center, with a nurse, to better serve the residents.
This resident explains that this localition, served only by a health agent, already needs a health center with a nurse, taking into account the difficulties of people in going to the health center, in the city of Porto Novo.
According to the same source, practically, the entire population of Ribeira dos Bodes is vulnerable”, which is why “many people” have difficulties in going to the health center, in the city, for medical consultations.
