Parliament speaker requests unity among MPs

SUMBE – National Assembly Speaker Carolina Cerqueira told the Parliament members to strive for the spirit of unity, cohesion and respect for the difference aimed to address the challenges and contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of the populations.

The Speaker said so to the press at the end of a meeting with the MPs of the provincial constituency of the coastal Cuanza Sul province held on Tuesday in Sumbe.

“Effort is being made, in general, to respond to pressing matters related to education, health, social assistance, the culture of peace, the principles of the democratic state, employment for youth (….) so that we can do law with other institutions, ”said Carolina Cerqueira.

She ensured that the National Assembly will always guide the respect and recognition of all deputies, regardless of the political party.

She praised the visit to Cuanza Sul and pledged to work with Parliamentary administration to improve working conditions.

In a few-hour visit to Sumbe, the Speaker of the National Assembly held a courtesy meeting with the provincial governor of Cuanza Sul, Job Capapinha.

She also visited the local Parliamentary facilities.
