Ex-international commends LMC for improving NPFL standard

Lagos, March 8, 2019 (NAN) – Ex-International Mutiu Adepoju on Thursday, commended the League Management Company (LMC) on the body’s dedication toward improving the standard of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Adepoju gave the commendation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos,Southwest of Nigeria.

The former Shooting Stars FC (3SC) of Ibadan noted that the beginning of the league was shaky because of violence in some clubs.

« Truth must be told. The LMC has come a long way, and it keeps getting better, compared to what it was like 10 years ago.

« Although violence in the beginning of the season made it look like the league was in disrepute, but as the league progresses, we haven’t had cause for violence.

« I believe there is still much to be done, in so many important areas that affects the league, and I believe that as the league progresses it will only keep getting better, » he said.

Adepoju said he was positive that the second stanza of the league would be better than the first.

NAN reports that the 2018/2019 football season kicked off Jan. 13 across the nation.
