HM the King Receives Newly-Appointed Members of Constitutional Court, Appoints its President

Rabat, 30/11/2023 (MAP) – HM King Mohammed VI received, Thursday at the Royal Palace in Rabat, the newly-appointed members of the Constitutional Court, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and the organic law of this Court, mainly the provisions relating to the renewal of one third of its members.

They are:

– Mohamed Amine Benabdellah, Amina El Messaoudi and Najib Ba Mohamed, members appointed by HM the King.

– Mohamed El Kasri, member elected by the House of Representatives,

– Mohamed Lididi, member elected by the House of Councilors.

HM the King also appointed Mohamed Amine Benabdellah as president of the Constitutional Court, succeeding Said Ihrai, who is no longer in position to continue his role.

During this audience, Amina El Messaoudi, Najib Ba Mohamed and Mohamed Lididi were sworn in before HM the King, in accordance with the provisions of the organic law of the Constitutional Court.
