According to police preliminary report, Supt. Baikpeh’s car was heading towards Grand Bassa County Tuesday night when it collided with a motorcyclist riding in the opposite direction.

« Due to the collision, the Superintendent and the occupants of the motorcycle sustained serious body injuries, resulting to the instant deaths of two riders on the motorcycle,” the report said.

It identified the victims as Akakin Wreegbo, 19,d and Moses Smith, 34, who died instantly, while cyclist Lee Henry, who was immediately rushed to the ELWA after the incident, was pronounced dead on arrival by doctors.

But Supt. Baikpeh and George Yamaha, another rider on the bike, are currently undergoing treatment at the Du-side Hospital in Margibi County and the John F. Kennedy Hospital in Monrovia respectively, the police report stated.

However, Grand Bassa County Information Officer, Eddie Williams, told the Liberia News Agency that the Superintendent had traveled to Monrovia to attend to national duty and was returning home when the incident occurred.

Williams is pleading with the county to organize an intercessory service for God’s healing intervention on the survivors of the accident.
