Accra, July 10, GNA – More than 2113 students who have successfully completed their course of study at the Valley View University have been awarded degrees at the school’s 24th congregation.

Out of the number, 1970 were presented with undergraduate degrees and 143 with postgraduate degree on Sunday.

Professor Daniel Bediako, the Vice Chancellor of VVU, in an address congratulated the graduands and told them to be proud of their efforts that had earned their grades.

« Go and prove to the world that VVU has given you something more than a First Class, » he told them.

The Vice Chancellor stated that the VVU focused on whole-person development, adding « the rigours of your training here have helped shaped you into a better person, with values of excellence, integrity, and service that will make you stand out wherever you go. »

He challenged the graduands to exhibit such values the school had inculcated in them in order to help create a better world, saying, « At your work places and in your communities, let people know you for your values. »

Prof Bediako also urged the graduands to not expect a better world but to help create one.

Mr. Gideon Arthur, a student of theology was adjudged the overall best graduating student.
