13th African Games (Taekwondo): Omayma Boumh Clinches Gold for Morocco

Accra, 18/03/2024 (MAP) – Omayma Boumh secured another gold medal for Morocco in the taekwondo events at the 13th African Games in Accra, which are ongoing until March 23 in the Ghanaian capital.

Boumh clinched the gold by defeating Gabon’s Mouega Mouega Urgence in the -73kg category. On the same day, taekwondo athlete Ayoub Bassel earned a bronze medal in the +87kg category.

On Sunday, Fatima-Ezzahra Aboufaras won gold in the +73kg category, while her countrywoman Oumaima El Bouchti secured bronze in the -53kg category.

Morocco’s medal tally at the Accra’s 13th African Games now stands at 19, encompassing 5 gold, 7 silver, and 7 bronze.
