MONROVIA, June 18 (LINA) – The Executive Director of the African Cultural Alliance of North America (ACANA), Mr. Voffee Jabateh, says
he is confident that President George Manneh Weah’s government will utilize every available resource to develop Liberia.

The African Cultural Alliance of North America (ACANA) is a US-based non-profit organization that provides community development and
revitalization, immigration and legal services, free health screening, job coaching and counseling, social services assistance, as well as
promote African Arts and Culture, among others, for the benefit African and Caribbean immigrants.

The group was founded in the mid 90’s to serve as an advocacy and cultural promotion not-for-profit organization.

Since its establishment, ACANA has played major role in attracting technical, financial and logistical support from the Federal Government to empower the African, Caribbean and other minority groups in Pennsylvania.

The organization currently provides multiple community engagement services to more than 200,000 immigrants and is one of the leading
community development partners in the city of Philadelphia.

The group is currently working closely with the City Council of Philadelphia to implement the « African Town » seven million United
States dollars development project which is expected to remodel the Woodland vastly African business occupied portion of Philadelphia.

The City of Philadelphia is currently the home of nearly 65,000 thousand Liberians.

Mr. Jabateh recounted the numerous challenges Liberians back home have faced over the years due to poor governance.

He expressed his organization’s preparedness to support the Government of President George Manneh Weah in whatsoever way possible in a bid to assist it accomplish the Pro-poor Agenda.

Meanwhile, US-based Liberian entrepreneurs in the State of Pennsylvania are calling on President Weah to open a consulate in the
city of Philadelphia to ease current challenges being faced in rapidly accessing consular-related services.
