Ofankor (G/A), Aug. 8, GNA – Nii Kortey Boi II, the Chief of Ofankor and his elders have provided land for the construction of a permanent office block for the Ga North Municipal Assembly at Ofankor in the Greater Accra Region.
He said currently the new Assembly holds its meetings in a temporal building of the Zonal Council, at Amamoley in the Municipality.
Nii Kortey Boi, the Presiding Member of the Assembly made this known in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Ofankor on Tuesday, and said the gesture was to complement government’s effort at expanding the frontiers of the decentralization policy.

Nii Kortey Boi said the office block would be constructed by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development and work was expected to start in October, this year, after the sod-cutting by the Assembly.
