São Filipe, Mar 31 (Inforpress) – Father Ottavio Fasano, founder and patron of the foundation bears his name, has since October 2020 resigned presidency of the institution is now chaired by Friar Gilson Frede.
After freely resigning his function, Father Ottavio Fasano, who since March 2020 has been in Italy as a precaution given his advanced age, and according to the statute of the foundation, was appointed Friar Gilson Frede to the post of president, and Friar Euclides Pires to the position of administrator.
Speaking to Inforpress, Friar Gilson Frede said he is waiting for the publication of the new board of directors in the Official Bulletin, stressing that the secretary general of the foundation, Maria da Ressurreição da Graça, has already asked for his resignation and it has been accepted.
The foundation, created at the end of 2019 and started operating just over a year ago, aims to continue the work Father Ottavio Fasano built during 56 years he was in Cabo Verde.
