Accra, Nov. 8, GNA — The Mayfair Estate Limited is building a six-unit bedroom apartment for the Southern Command of the Ghana Armed Forces to help ease the accommodation problems the Command faces.
The company has also completed a dormitory for the Military Police at Okponglo, near Legon, which could accommodate 40 personnel.
Noble John Watson Otumfuo, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, disclosed this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Wednesday.
He said the provision of the facilities formed part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility.
Noble Otumfuo said the company had completed 120 two-bedroom apartments at Burma Camp and the Junior Rank Mess of the Ghana Armed Forces.
Plans are also afoot to rehabilitate the Duala Hospital at Burma Camp to complement government’s efforts of providing quality healthcare for all Ghanaians, he said.
He said the company had won many awards including; Best Real Estate Developer 2016, Developer of the Year Upper Income 2017, West Africa International Governance and Leadership Award 2016 and the Africa International Award of Merit 2018.
Noble Otumfuo said the company had been able to reconstruct the Spintex Road leading to the Mayfair Estate near the Burma Camp Military Cemetery.
He said, as the CEO, his vision was to help people to acquire quality and affordable houses and had built 170 detached houses in a gated community with recreational centres for sale.
He, therefore, urged the public to take advantage of the flexible terms of payment to acquire a house.
Noble Otumfuo, who is also a member of the 1979 Year Group of the Burma Camp Services Junior High School, had provided the School with an ultra-modern Information and Communication Technology laboratory, a Basketball and Volleyball courts, and a recreational centre at the cost of GHC400,000.00
